Oakley Water is an introduction to the water sports and water-related activities that will follow with an array of products to suit the water-savvy individual. In Layman's terms, we are creating a division of Oakley.

Since Oakley already caters to so many other sporting activities, it's about time they had a division for water sports! This brand already has a great reputation, so introducing this new line will only add to the Oakley fan base. This is a great idea for niche marketing.

I think that is a very useful feature because consumers who are interested in obtaining good equipment for water sports, now they will have the opportunity to get them.

This Oakley Water sounds very interesting and the idea to produce water sports related products and equipments such as swim glasses would more likely to be successful since they already offer quality products for over 3 decades.

You will see a lot of competitors, so you think you will beat all of them ? I am interested in what your product is about, and I hope you succeed.
ReplyDeleteOakley water will bring in alot of new customers. I myself am a swimmer and would most definately want to try these googles because speedo is the only brand I like so far. Since Oakley has already mastered quality eyewear for other sports/activities it would be neat to bring in the aquatic sports as well.
ReplyDeleteGood business for along the west coast, east coast, gulf coast, Hawaii, Alaska, etc. I don't really know any other water gear companies besides Speedo. You could probably go international too. If your products are good enough, they could even be the official gear for Olympics water sports.
ReplyDeleteVery good concentration for people doing water sports! I know most of us probably own a pair of oakley in our lifetime. This is a very good tarket market since there seems to be limited products for water sports activities.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first heard Oakley Water, I thought it was a beverage. It is good to now have an idea of the types of products that the company has to offer! Are these products going to be sold at a lesser retail compared to other competing eater sport company's, or how do you plan on attracting new customers?

The water product line your company is creating is going to be great. I would definitely buy from your company since I trust the brand. I think it would be a great product line to introduce and to manufacture with an objective to have quality in your product since the brand reputation should stay positive.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea guys! Water sports are extremely popular, and it is the perfect age group because younger consumers tend to spend more. Oakley is already so well known, that adding this line is a perfect way to make revenue. You guys should research some talented wake boarders and choose a few to sponsor so everyone knows about this new branch of products.
ReplyDeleteHigh end aquatic apparel. Military use Oakley so that would be an easy consumer. Oakley has a good brand name, and sponsoring big names would be a good start.

ReplyDeleteOakley Water is a great idea since Oakley is a huge contributor to extreme sports as well as regular sports. I cannot think of a sport where they do not make some type of eye wear for, except for water sports which is being covered now. Oakley has a long history of innovating and having the best quality of sunglasses in the sports world. I am a baseball player myself and purchased my first pair of oakleys at the age of 15 and now own about 7 different pairs. The quality is unmatched by any other sunglasses company and I am completely loyal to the company. I know that if I did any other extreme sports, like snowboarding or wake-boarding I would pick up a pair of Oakley goggles as probably my first priority in equipment. This is how much I love the company, and I think it is great to see the branching into new markets such as this one.
